Rob “Maxi” Maxfield

- Shed Seven
"As a teenager I stared at posters of my drumming heroes sat behind Premier drum kits and dreamt of owning one. I couldn’t have believed one day I’d become part of the family. It’s an honour and a privilege to play Premier drums, the most iconic, coolest and best sounding British drum brand there is."

MAXI started his drumming career at 18 years old as part of the Manchester band Audioweb. A mix of indie, dub and hip-hop, they toured and had success in the 1990’s and counted many successful artists as fans including Ian Brown and U2. The latter who they supported on their European Pop-Mart tour.

By 1999 Audioweb split and MAXI started a band with Guitarist Paul Banks from Shed Seven before getting a call from Audioweb fan Ian Brown asking him to be his drummer.
MAXI has toured and recorded with Ian on his solo albums since 2001 and fulfilled the dream of playing drums to some of the most iconic songs ever made. Playing to people all over the world with highlights like headlining the second stage at Glastonbury.

Audioweb reformed to Support the Stone Roses at the Etihad stadium in 2016 and are still making music.

In 2021 MAXI was reunited with Guitarist Paul Banks when he joined Shed Seven and is currently playing festivals, writing and recording a new album. Last year MAXI also opened his first teaching studio, Betty and Joe’s Funky bunker in Manchester.
