Dave Forster

- Education Ambassador
"Premier Drums - Big name, huge sound!"

Dave works as a live and studio session musician, touring worldwide, and recording with artists such as Rolan Bolan, Barb Junger, Aidan Connell, Jade Mayjean, Seymour Duncan Band, Jon Moon, Dito Godwin, The Brink, Stefan Kugler, The Drifters and more.

While studying at Drum Tech, on the BMus Popular Music Performance course, Dave was taught by many industry professionals including Paul Elliott, Pete Cater, Mick Morena, Shaun Baxter, Misha Nickolic, Phelan Kane, Justin Scott, and Francis Seriau. It was here that Dave developed his technique, sight reading, and performance skills, as well as taking an interest in recording techniques, and studio skills.

As a session studio artist, Dave does a lot of recording work from his studio, offering drum tracking and song production, and also doing remote sessions.

As well as this, Dave is in demand educator working in the Midlands, teaching further and higher education regarding Popular Music Performance, Recording, and Music Production.

The main kit Dave has selected from Premier is a Genista Maple Purple Fade kit consisting of a 24″x14″ bass drum, 13″x9″ tom, and 16″x16″ floor tom. He also selected an 8″x8″ concert tom, and 14″x5.5″ maple Beatmaker Snare.

“These drums sounds huge. The tuning range is incredible. The toms can be tuned really low and still have great attack on them. They are beautiful sounding, and looking drums.”

Currently Dave is producing educational videos, and recording and producing new music with originals band Jupiter’s Journey, as well as remote sessions.
