Field Marshal Montgomery claim first major title of 2012

Saturday 19th May marked the first RSPB major championship of the year; the Scottish Championships held at Levingrove Park in Dumbarton, Scotland.

Despite weeks of rain prior to the event, the conditions stayed dry for the competing bands. In Grade 1, current Champion of Champions and Premier endorsers Field Marshal Montgomery from Northern Ireland retained their title, a win that meant the corps have now won four consecutive Scottish Championship titles.

Field Marshal performed with their corps of sapphire sparkle fade lacquer drums in a field of 16 bands with many of those fielding upwards of 40 players.
