Premier win MIA industry award for its Modern Classic drum set
21 November 2014
We are extremely proud to announce that the Modern Classic drum set was the winner of the Rhythm Percussion Product of the Year Award at this year’s MIA Music Awards 2014.
The MIA Music Awards, organised by the Music Industries Association, honour the best selling, most reliable and innovative products and retail initiatives in the UK; celebrating the top individuals and organisations within the musical instrument industry.
The award, sponsored by the UK’s leading drum magazine - Rhythm, was decided by online public and retailer votes through the MIA’s official Awards website and media partner channels. Fighting off strong international competition, the Modern Classic was awarded the prestigious accolade at the official ceremony in The Park Plaza Riverbank, London on the 18th November 2014.
Launched in May 2014, the Modern Classic is 100% British-made by Premier and is the first product to be released under the company’s new business plan, set-out earlier this year. Vikki George, general manager for Premier said: “This is great recognition for a fantastic product built here in the UK.” She continued, “This is the first phase of our new product development plan, and with phase two set to launch at NAMM 2015, we couldn’t be more delighted with the results so far. I’d like to thank everyone who has made this possible, especially our Custom Works team in Lancashire, where the Modern Classic was designed and developed.”
