Pat Lundy Funeral for a Friend

patlundy

When I first played a Premier drum set, I was probably around 10 years old, as they were the drums that belonged to the studio my brother and I would rehearse in. I hadn't played Premier for a number of years, until recently when I visited the Headquarters and showroom. After soaking in a little of Premier's incredible heritage, I played the new Elite series and was blown away. I didn't think a kick drum could sound as full and pack such a thud. The short stack toms are easy to tune and very responsive. Premier since 1922, have perfected the art of drum making and I am very proud to represent such a superior brand and world renowned drum company.

Information

Pat started playing drums when he was 9 years old, although for as long as he can remember he has been hitting things and watching all his favourite drummers profusely. He had always been keen to get in to the live circuit, so much so, that for many of his earlier shows, he was forced to sneak in the back entrance at gigs to avoid the bouncers at all costs. Pat loves playing in live situations and loves the novelty of it all. Over the years, he has learnt from some pretty amazing drummers such as Les Binks (ex- Judas Priest) who showed him the fundamentals, which enabled him to take his playing to the next level and further his ability by applying new rudiments and developing his own technique and style of drumming.

Pat spends most of “my” time with his “dudes”, touring, practicing, recording and just hanging with instruments. He has performed in a number of acts in both live and studio situations, most recently with London based EMI band "Rise to Remain," who have spent the past 3 years touring the world and establishing themselves. Touring with “Rise to Remain” has taught Pat a great deal and has changed his life in a big way. However, since leaving the band, Pat has been busy with other projects in the way of session work and writing and is currently holding the drumming seat with Welsh Rockers “FFAF”.
