My Premier drums get a lot of compliments wherever I go. I'm extremely proud to be associated with a fantastic British company that are world-renowned for quality.
Growing up in Northumberland, Michael first began learning drums at school aged 9. He continued his drumming education at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, and Leeds College of Music, where he focused on playing jazz in many ensembles including the Conservatoires UK Big Band.
Michael moved to Manchester in 2007 to be part of the band Everything Everything. In January 2010 they were included in the BBC's Sound of 2010 list and since then have performed in America, Japan, Australia and all over Europe playing tours and festivals.
Since releasing their critically acclaimed album 'Man Alive' in August 2010, Everything Everything have done various sessions for BBC Radio 1 and 6Music, as well as television programmes such as 'Later... With Jools Holland' on two occasions. For Channel 4 they have appeared on 'Live at Abbey Road' and 'The Mercury Prize Sessions', among others.
During this time Michael also played on various tracks on 'The Haunted Man' by Bat For Lashes, which received a warm reception from critics on its release.
In September 2011 Everything Everything were delighted that 'Man Alive' was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. By this point the band were in the middle of writing its follow-up record. They debuted some of the new material whilst supporting Snow Patrol on their UK arena tour in early 2012.
Shortly after, the band returned to the studio with producer David Kosten to record their next album, entitled 'Arc', and later that year supported Muse on their European tour. 'Arc' entered the UK chart at number 5 in January 2013 which led to extensive touring and festival appearances all over the world.
