Information
Ezio "Zac" Zaccagnini was born in Naples but now resides in Rome. As a self-taught musician, Zac has established himself as one of the leading drummers and educators in the Italian music industry and most recognised for Italian and international tours with Gianni Morandi (1992-1998), Massimo Ranieri (2001-2005) and Fabrizio De Andre (1993).
He has also worked with numerous artists and groups, both live and in recording sessions including: Battiato, Giorgia, Mory Kante, Cheb Khaled, Biagio Antonacci, Gianni Togni, Antonello Salis, Monsieur o’ Pale, Ron, Lucio Dalla, Gigi Proietti, Company Segundo (in the RAI programme conducted by Massimo Ranieri), Marco Armani, Mauro Di Domenico’s band and Antonella Ruggiero.
Zac has attracted the attention some of the world's greatest arrangers including Toto Torquati, Geoff Westley (Bee Gees, Lucio Battisti, Claudio Baglioni), Claudio Mattone, Beppe Vessicchio, Thierry Mathiosek (Velvet Underground), Mauro Pagani, Cheik Tidiane Seck, Claudio Samale (S.Cecilia), Ernesto Migliacci, Mario Zannini, Euro Ferrari, Lilli Greco and Andrea Amati.
He has taken part in several TV shows such as the May 1st Live Concert at San Giovanni in Rome, "Festivalbar" (Italia 1), "Un disco per l'estate" (Canale 5), "Help!" and "Roxy Bar" by Red Ronnie (Tmc 2), "Tarattattà" (Rai2), "Top Of The Pops" Morandi show (12 million viewers) and many others.
Outside of recording, Zac enjoys teaching and is a prolific educator, undertaking clinic and workshops throughout Italy's music schools and institutes whilst also working as a private teacher.
