Chris 'Woody' Wood Bastille

woody

I was taught on Premier drums ever since I started playing and it's such a privilege to have the backing of a British company making amazing drums.

Information

Originally hailing from Plymouth, Devon, Woody is a founding member of the south London based band 'Bastille'.

Woody first started playing drums in school in his native Plymouth and played around the city with various school bands, as well as filling in for his singer/guitarist Dad's band.

Woody left Plymouth for music college in 2004 and played for numerous artists and bands around the London area, during which time he met his future Bastille band mates.

Having started out playing in pubs in 2010, Woody and the Bastille boys have worked their way up to headlining venues such as Alexandra Palace in London, as well as scooping the 2014 Brit Award for British Breakthrough and having their debut album 'Bad Blood' go into the UK charts at number one.

Woody is proud to fly the flag with Premier as Bastille tour all over the world. Woody combines acoustic and electronic elements into his set-up as well as singing backing vocals on most songs.
